Yogi Vemanna University was formerly known as Sri Venkateswara University Post Graduate Centre and was established in 2006 by an Act of the AP State Legislature. The university is located about 15 km away from the historic Kadapa City on the Kadapa –Pulivendula road. The YVU campus is spread across 652 acres with a built-up area of 78088.48 sq.mts. The university has received an A grade from NAAC with a CGPA of 3.13 out of 4. A total of 113 colleges are affiliated with the university.
YVU course list comprises UG, integrated PG, PG and doctoral-level courses. 30,000+ students have enrolled in the university so far. YVU admissions are done based on entrance exams. To take admission to the YVU courses, candidates need to apply, appear and qualify the CET. Apart from that, the infrastructure and facilities are maintained by the engineering, civil and electrical departments. It has all the necessary facilities that are necessary for the holistic development of its students. Yogi Vemanna University has a placement cell that looks after placement-related activities. To date, over 650 students were placed in numerous top companies. As per the YVU placement report 2022, the UG batch achieved a 100% placement record. The median salary package offered to its students was Rs 6.96 LPA. Similarly, for the PG one-year programme and PG two-year programme, the median salary recorded was Rs 3.10 LPA and Rs 4.38 LPA, respectively.

Yogi Vemanna University has a dedicated placement cell that looks after the overall placement activities. The placement cell is responsible for carrying out the YVU placement process. Conducting training sessions, workshops, meetings with the recruiters, arranging the pre-placement talks are some of the functions of the YVU placement cell. As per the placement report of 2022, the median salary recorded for UG four-year programme was Rs 6.96 LPA. Overall, 502 students were placed in the YVU placement drive 2022. Among the PG courses, the highest median salary was offered to PG two year programmes. It was recorded at Rs 4.38 LPA. YVU Placement Cell Functions:
Registration: Students who wish to participate in the YVU placement process must register themselves with the placement cell. The registration process involves submitting a resume and other relevant documents.
Pre-placement talks: Companies visit the YVU campus and conduct pre-placement talks to give students an idea about the job profiles, compensation packages, and other details
Application and shortlisting: Interested students apply for the job openings and are shortlisted based on their eligibility and academic performance.

Yogi Vemanna University offers postgraduate and research-level courses. Admission to these courses is done based on entrance exams. The university accepts admission to courses such as MA., M.Com., M.Sc., MCJ, M.Lib.Sc., M.Ed., M.P.Ed., M.Tech based on YVU cut off 2023 of AP PGCET. After the AP PGCET 2023 results are out, a rank list will be prepared considering the cut off of YVU. Likewise, for admission to its research programmes, candidates need to meet the YVU cutoff 2023 prepared on the basis of APRCET results. The YVU cut-off 2023 list will be released on the official website. The Yogi Vemanna University cut off 2023 will be determined taking into consideration multiple factors like difficulty level of questions, number of students who qualified the test, seat availability and so on.
Yogi Vemanna University campus are built over 652 acres of land. The university has the adequate infrastructure and facilities necessary for the holistic development of its students. The YVU infrastructure comprises buildings with an academic ambience, a library, modern science and research laboratories equipped with sophisticated instruments, a supercomputer facility, ISRO Geosphere Biosphere Atmospheric Research Facility, Agri-Science Park, spacious hostels, a gym, a day-care centre, a botanical garden, RUSA Instrumentation Facility, RUSA SEM Facility and a vast playground. The engineering department is responsible for constructing several buildings, and the civil and electrical departments are responsible for the repair/maintenance. Yogi Vemanna University has many buses and two vans that provide students with easy access to commute. The transport facility is available from most parts of Kapada city to the YVU campus and back. Apart from that, the university has also provided separate transportation options for the ladies and the staff.
Located on Pulivendula-Kapada main road, there is a two-storied building with 53 rooms, 4 suites out of which two are air-conditioned, a sixty-seater committee room and a large dining hall attached to a conference hall.
Yogi Vemanna University has a canteen that is run on a contractual basis and is named Oasis. Along with that, there are two other cafeterias. One is at the library and the other is a mobile canteen that is under construction.
There is an SBI branch within the campus and an ATM near the administrative building. Students can operate regular transactions as well as online banking. All the financial-related transactions are carried out in the SBI campus branch.
The YVU library was established in 1977 and follows the open access system. There are over 50,000 books which include general books / text-books, reference books, journals and serials, theses, rare books & non-book material and CD-ROMs with books, just to name a few.
YVU also has a daycare centre for children less than six years of age. It was established in 2012 to help working parents in pursuing their job or academic career.

Yogi Vemanna University scholarships are available to both meritious and needy students. There is also a minority cell that looks after the need of minority students. Apart from scholarships, YVU also offers fellowships to students at the doctoral level. Most of the scholarships can be availed at the time of admission. The university updates its scholarship-related details on the official website during the admission session. These YVU scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and other academic-related expenses. Students from economically weaker sections, minority communities, and SC/ST categories are also provided with separate scholarships.
To apply for YVU scholarships, students must meet the eligibility criteria specified by the university. They must have secured a minimum percentage of marks as specified by the university in their previous qualifying examination and must have a valid income certificate. The application process is online, and students must provide all necessary documents along with their application.
